Japan Of Mai Miturich
This page is dedicated to the graphic design of the graduation essay about issues of cultural appropriation on the example of how Mai Miturich borrows some visual features of traditional Japanese ink paintings and uses it in his illustrations.
The design of this book is partly based on the design of traditional Japanese books, partly on contemporary graphic design ideas. The main goal of the design is to show the witness and emptiness of the traditional Japanese ink painting. That is why Japanese bookbinding, semitransparent paper and minimalist design are used in this book.
